Benissa

A signed coastal path makes four kilometres of rocky shoreline easy to read in sections.

A new place to explore

Benissa's ecological coast walk: coves, cliffs and seagrass

Benissa's old town lies inland, yet its short coastline is one of the Marina Alta's most varied walks. The ecological path threads low cliffs and small coves, with panels explaining rock, vegetation and life below the water. From above, dark patches in clear sea often reveal the seagrass meadows that shelter marine life.

The path is a series of useful sections rather than a single compulsory march. One reaches Les Bassetes from the Benissa Playa visitor area; another runs towards Cala Advocat. Pine shade comes and goes, and each opening changes the view towards Calp and the next headland. The built path gives access without requiring walkers to scramble down fragile slopes.
